Suup!
Ok so i honestly can't remember a lot of
what we did this past week. And i did a really bad job of writing down
what we actually ended up doing everyday. So this will just be
everything that i remember or was somewhat important.
So us and the Assistants have decided not to split the area
and to just share investigators etc. So they have this really awesome
Investigator - Amanda. She is sooo cool and super solid. She is going to
get baptized pretty soon she is deciding on a date. She just asked Elder
C to baptize her. Its gonna be really cool. So i guess the college
students do a lot of the work for us and just bring their friends and
stuff which is good cause we really dont have a lot of time to do
"finding".
We did have a member referral for a new investigator. We had
an appointment with her for last night but it ended up not working out.
Which stunk cause we had to go pick up a member in west philly then
drive like 40 mins to the appointment. (cause we cover the whole stake)
And we showed up and the member said she couldnt get her friend to
answer or door/wake up. So then we just had to drive back. But slowly
things should pick up. We are talking in church tomorrow with the AP's.
In ward council last week they said they usually have the missionaries
speak on Memorial day weekend cause no one is usually there. Oh
thanks.... But its true almost no one will be there i guess. They are
all at the beach or visiting family etc. Umm Yesterday was Mission
Leadership Council. We did a little training/presentation as usual. I
talked/showed some of the new changes i made to our google docs and the
way we report numbers. I have a pretty good system going and im always
improving it. And not to sound stuck up but the Zone Leaders love me
hah. I make things a lot easier for them. I'm starting to put the
Schaeferemeyer's and office couples Gift books together. Im also working
on a couple other things. We have Zone Conf the week of June 10th so
ive gotta have everything ready by then to present at those meetings.
Oh the church's financial system came back up after getting
its back up date. So now i have a huge pile of bill's and reimbursements
to pay. Alot!
Sam Norton emailed me today. He just got
put in the mission office a couple days ago in his mission (Spain) He is
the financial secretary just like me, thats kind of cool!
Throughout the week we have been helping the Elders and
Sisters in Broomall transition to teaching some of our old investigators
etc. So we have gone with them to see a few people. All the people we
had baptism dates with dont have them now. But hopefully they will
eventually be able to have dates again once things get back up and
going.
Tomorrow us and the AP's are going to a Catholic Mass with
Amanda, she wanted to show us what it was like. So that will be cool ive
never been to mass before!
Monday we are going to
Broomall Wards memorial day breakfast with the other missionaries. Then
that night us the AP's and all the Senior Couples in the mission are
having a dinner/fireside at the mission home and the Schaefermeyers will
be talking about their mission. So that will be awesome! We have 3
Golden re-trainings this week! The new Office couple the Smuins who are
replacing the Houses come in this week! So they will have about a month
to learn everything.
Well i think that's mostly everything. Freddy (Robert
Fredrickson) told me he is coming back out here to visit on June 21st!
So i will get to see him! that will be awesome.
K ill talk to you later. Hope Mom and Kylee had a good time in NYC!
Chow,
Elder Jensen
