Hey!
Man its been a
another crazy week. And this letter will probably be all over the place again.
My schedule everyday is just so random and different all the time its just hard
to remember what we did or know what to expect everyday. I've been doing a lot
of catch up this week. Since the Baileys are gone i am more
"official" than before and it is now My Desk, My computer etc. So i
can move and rearrange things. I put up our family pics next to my desk, and mom
everyone asks where my mom is in the picture. Everyone thinks you're my sister.
I've had sooooooo many bills to pay this week. I pay a whole stack and another
stack comes in the mail the next day. I've just had so much to do. I start
something then i get a phone call with someone complaining or needing
something. There are so many things that need to get done right away its hard
to get things done! We've been in the office pretty much all day unless we have
an appointment.
I made a couple
changes to the logo this week. The book of Mormon was just a black rectangle
with the title. And depending on how big or small the logo was or where it was
being printed you couldn't always tell exactly what it was. So now it actually
looks like a Book and you and read the title better. I also changed the flag
background. Man i can't remember what else i did, but it was a lot. We have
spent a lot of time with the Assistants lately. President has been doing
interviews all over the mission this week so he has been gone a lot and pretty
busy.
We taught Lu the
other night. We read the Book of Mormon with her. We found out she is gonna
live in NJ for a month for a new job. So she leaves Sunday... We have the
AP's teaching her tonight cause we already have appointments. But we will keep
in touch with her over fb while she's gone. She has been coming to institute on
her own every week! The YSA is a perfect example of how members should do
missionary work! We had members bring 5 non members to church last Sunday! We
are teaching one of them tonight! After that we are going to a Ballet in Center
City, Philly. I will tell you why. A member in our ward - Chloe is a
professional Ballerina. And we are going to teach her friend that dances with
her. So she has a show tonight that we are going too. Should be interesting...
But i think we are going to meet her friend after the show.
We had a good meeting
with President Anderson this morning. There have been some things we need to
talk to him about, about the office and other things in the mission. But he's
been so busy we haven't had a chance to sit down and talk. But we were finally
able to this morning. He is is soo cool, he is doing great. He is all about
getting the members to step up etc. We are working with him to improve our
stats and reporting so that they reflect and measure the members involvement in
our missionary work.
So my time is
starting to tick down... and I'm feeling a little anxious because i just barely
officially took over as financial secretary. (Even though I've been doing it
since January) Now that The Baileys are gone I'm completely on my own. But it's
only been a couple weeks, I've put up our family pics on my desk, and we are
already talking about who my replacement is gonna be.. ahhh.. How ever that
goes down I'm not looking forward to it. Some of the possibilities are to have
a 3rd guy in our companionship for a transfer who would pretty much watcheverything i do and learn it. Which i am not a huge fan of. It would slow us
down and he wouldn't have anything to do. Or to cross our fingers and hope we
get a senior couple to permanently take our spots. I just hate that when i
finally took over and got settled in and we are already talking about who's
gonna take my job.
Wanna hear something
exciting? The very first person i ever invited to be baptized on my mission is
getting baptized tomorrow. I will be going to Steve P baptism over in
Medford, NJ tomorrow afternoon. It will be cool! I will get to see the Masses
and everyone. Oh i don't know if i told you but a lady that i started teaching
while i was in Philly also got baptized. Her name is Nikki.
ok well that's about
all i can think of. Grandma Boyack and Aubrey i owe you guys letters. i will
get to is sometime soon hopefully.
Chow, loves
