Man, its been such a
crazy week. I don't even know where to start. Im probably going to leave out a
lot of stuff, cause so much has happened in the last few days. hmm. so i will
start with Sunday. We had that awesome Missionary Broadcast!!! It was soooo
coool. They are finally opening up Facebook to everyone. And yes every
companionship will be getting iPads...!! We were all very excited. It's pretty
cool to say we had iPod Touches and Facebook before everyone else! I don't know
if you saw them but they had the camera right on the Andersons for a little
bit, it was cool to see them on there.
Man i dont know how
to tell you about this week with out going into lots of detail and making this
a super long email. Well we had A LOT of late nights this week. went to sleep
after 11 or 11:30 almost everyday this week. And for a missionary thats late!
haha. Let's see, on Tuesday morning we had to wake up at 4:20 AM to take the
departing missionaries to the airport. We were able to spend time with the
Schaefermeyers, Houses and Baileys before they all headed out this week. The
Houses left Wednesday morning and the Baileys and Schaefermeyers left Friday.
We picked up 30 new missionaries this week. Four of them were Visa waiters.
haha and one of those new missionaries Visas came a couple days later and he
headed to Peru on Monday! President and Sister Anderson Arrived on Friday. They
spent some time with the Schaefermeyers at the Mission home for a few hours.
Then they came over to the Mission Office. It was a little weird. We took some
pics, (you probably saw them on FB) we talked for a little bit and gave him his
laptop and some other things. Then we said bye to the Schaefermeyers and they
left! It's kind of funny cause this is completely new to the Andersons they
hardly know anything about the mission and how things work. So we've been
explaining everything to them over the past few days. We had whats called a
Mission Tour. Starting on Saturday. We had a 4 meetings. Each with 2 or 3 zones
there. And they spoke and told the missionaries about themselves. They shook
every ones hand and talked with them and then we got pics with all the zones. So
it's been pretty crazy the last few days. They are still unpacking. We were
over there at the Mission home pretty late last night with them and the
assistants talking about things. And helping them get all their devices set up
etc. hah So they have this huge iMac they each have their own personal iPhone
and iPad. Then they have the new iPhones provided by the church and President
has an iPad on the way from the church for him. So they have a lot of apple
devices!! I love it! And i get to set them all up for them. Then on Wednesday
he starts interviews for like 15 days or more. He's gonna be driving all over
the mission and staying in hotels etc. So we probably wont be seeing a lot of
him the next couple weeks.
Sorry this letter is
super random im just trying to remember everything. So we decided to be funny
and in the transfer slide show at the very end we put The schaefermeyer getting
transferred to West Valley City, UT as a member of the Quorum of the 70 and
General RS President with their pics. And everyone (which was a lot of people)
Stood up and starting clapping for them. It was really cool. Then we did a
similar thing for the Houses and Baileys. Willl send some pics. Oh I got to
pick up Sister Shaia from the airport! She just graduated from PG!!! It was
pretty cool to talk to her and see her. You probably already saw that pic on Fb
too. The day before president left us and the assistants went over to their
house so we could get some last pics with them. We took them in the same place
that we take them when we arrive in the mission as Goldens. President just happened
to be wearing the same tie as when i got my first pic with him. Kind of cool. I
was able to talk to President Schaefermeyer on the phone last night cause we
had some questions for him. It was good to talk to him. He said they were up in
Fayette NY, They are going to some church history sites with their family on
the way home. Man this week has just been nuts, the Bills never stop coming. I
have this hug stack of bills and receipts to reimburse missionaries. And
everyone is always calling me or messaging me to see when I'm going to give them
money etc. Then i have all these crazy landlords calling me etc. Oh yeah forgot
to talk about apartments. So i think i ended up getting like 6 or 7 apartments
last week for transfers. Getting them all to work out was a miracle. There were
2 apartments that i was having a hard time getting. And i wasn't even
sure if they were going to work out. President and the AP's assigned people to
those new area's anyway just hoping that we would get the apartments. At that point
i had only talked to the landlords but hadn't signed leases for the 2
apartments. Anyways that was on Friday. Monday, there wasn't really any
progress. And they were telling me that we might not be able to move in for few
weeks etc. Then Tuesday right after transfer meeting i got 2 phone calls
from both the landlords called me and said we could move in that day for one
and the next day for the other!!! It was totally a miracle that it all worked
out. Pretty cool eh?
OK well i think this
email is long enough. I know i left out a ton of stuff. But if there was
anything that you were wanting to know more about just ask me and then i will
tell you. I have had no time at all to write in my journal, but there is
definitely some stuff i want in there. So now that things are settling down a
little im going to try to catch up.
OK folks that's all!
If your sick get
feeling better!!! 4 Months!!! ooohhh woow! If anyone sent me a letter lately i
didn't get time to read it til just barely so it might take me a little to get
back to you. I owe so many people letters!! ugh.
