June 8th, Letter

Was Sup!?                                                                                                        June 8, 2013
Well it has been a busy week. Lots to do! Zone Conference is next week. We’re getting closer and closer to the Baileys, Houses and Schaefermeyers leaving. It's going to be so weird without them! But we have been having a lot of fun with them and spending time with them before they go. Dad how old is you Mission President because he doesn't look too old. So this letter is probably going to be all over. Same as last week I didn't do a very good job of writing down what we did. Every day is always a mystery of what's going to happen because something always comes up, or we have to drive somewhere or we have to fix something etc. So Monday I can't really remember what we did but we for sure did Mission stats as usual. Oh let me back up to Sunday. Umm let's see went to church as usual. We were working in the office in the evening when the Broomall Sisters called and were asking where the nearest Urgent Care was. And we were like whoa, Urgent care?? What’s going on? They said Sister B was having a hard time breathing. Anyways long story short, it took forever to find a close urgent care that was open on Sunday’s. We found one 40 minutes away. We met them there. While she was with the doctor we were stuck listening/watching this boring Televangelist. So while later we find out it was just a sinus infection and she was fine.  So that made our Sunday Night exciting. Ok Tuesday - We had Golden Re-training in Dover. We had to go down to provide lunch. Then we came back up to the office. I paid a ton of bills that day. That night we were working in the office and this older guy walks in and asks about our Family History Center. (We get a lot of people that walk in and ask about it, because they go to the wrong doors) Anyways he’s not a member and tells us about how he came across our address etc. online. We showed him the Family history center. He was asking a lot of questions about our church, what we teach, believe etc. He said he wasn't really religious but that he was interested in coming to church. So we gave him a church tour and showed him the chapel and the picture of the temple etc. He was pretty impressed with the church and us. We gave him a card with our info, church time etc. Then he brought us out to his car so we could meet his wife. Then he came the next day when the FHC was open, they were able to help him and he told them he is coming to church this Sunday! It was pretty cool! He's got lots of potential!
Wednesday - We had the mission conference call with President. He had a girl from the New Era on the conf. call because she wants to do a story about using FB for missionary work. So President had missionaries tell some of their stories so she could hear them. She ended up choosing one of Elder Prestwich's stories. So he's going to be in the New Era soon. We went over to Presidents House that day to install two new monitors for him. We ended up talking with him for a while about a lot of stuff. Talked about transfers, whose going to train, new areas and apartments.  It was really cool. They have been fixing things up at the mission home to get it all ready for the new Mission President. This week we got 2 Costco cards, 2 new iPhone 5's and a new laptop for the new President and his wife. Let’s see so later we had something exciting go on at the office. The Broomall Sisters came to the office and as soon as they parked. Their back windshield pretty much exploded. Why? Well because there is this kid that keeps hitting golf balls into our parking lot. A couple weeks ago president was putting everything into his new car and 2 golf balls hit the top of his car. We have a ton of golf balls in our parking lot. Well it finally hit something - the Sisters back windshield, and it went right through the window and shattered it. So Elder House got in his car and went and found who it was. So we won't be having golf balls flying through our parking lot anymore. Then that night I was on the phone with SLC techies for 2 hours and 40 minutes trying to fix the printers in our office. We have been having lots of network problems in our office and none of our printers or devices were working. Anyways I got it working eventually.
Thursday - Had District Meeting. The Zone Leaders came. It was on Teaching People, Not Lessons. It went pretty good. All of my district meetings have actually been pretty good so far. We went out to eat as a district after to a place called Wimpy's. It’s a burger place. I think I sent you a pic a while ago of a burger from there. It's good. We also went and picked up 3 new Ford Fushions for the mission. They are really nice cars! That's all I remember from that day.
Friday - Yesterday I can't remember much either haha. But I’ve been working on the gifts for President and the senior couples a lot lately. I finished the books yesterday. I brought them to Staples to get them bound. They were so thick we had to separate each book into 3 books each! I will send pictures later. I've had all the missionaries send in their receipts to me and I’ve been working on scanning all of them in, and we’re going to put all the signatures around the mission logo so it will be like a big thank you card that the whole mission signed.
Zone Conference is next week, Tuesday through Friday. We will be traveling a lot and have presentations at each one. We will also be presenting the gifts to the couples at each one. Should be good! We’re going to be Busy!! Man it rained soooo much yesterday! The entire day, I heard that there was some sort of tropical storm or something. Also did you hear about the building in Philly that collapsed? We had parents calling in about it. I haven't really heard much about it.
Ok I think that's everything. Oh I hit 19 months 6 days ago. Crazzzy!! Sister House is going to be sending you my travel plans soon. Man....

Aight cya!
