Hey y'all April
27, 2013
We had a good crazy
week.
I think I’m just
getting used to being super busy because it doesn't feel like we’re as busy as
we used to be when we first got here. I’m pretty sure we’re as busy or busier,
but I think I’m just used to it now. Sunday we went over to the Kwons house
with some of the other Koreans and ate with them for lunch. We taught the Armstrongs,
things are going well with them. Their Dad sat in for part of the lesson and
seemed to be semi interested.
Monday - we did some
P-day stuff on that day because I was in a meeting Saturday morning during our
P-Day. We went to Philly with the Widener Elders. It’s not really exciting to
go to Philly anymore just because I’ve already been there so much and got millions
of pictures. But everyone else hasn't been. We went to the T-shirt shop and I
got shirts for all of you guys. I also bought a small version of the Liberty
Bell. We also went to Love Park and then went and got cheesteaks on our way
back. The rest of the day was kind of busy getting mission stats done and other
stuff.
Tuesday - I’m going
to skip to the evening. We had an appointment with Moylan. We taught him in
Presidents office. We set up a projector and hooked my iPod and watched the
restoration video with him. It went pretty good. Wednesday - Did various things
in the office. It sounds like nothing, but I just can't remember what we do in
the office each day because there is so much. But I was getting ready for Zone
Leader Council. I’m adding a lot of new stuff to our Google Docs spreadsheets
for the Zone Leaders, adding graphs and charts and other things to help them
track their numbers etc. It’s complicated and a lot of work! That night we went
over to the Andersen’s for dinner they are really cool nice couple; they kind
of remind me of Kylee and Jake a little. After that we went and taught the
Dixons the Plan of Salvation. It went good, Taft is still on for his date, and
his sister Jess is slowly getting more interested. Thursday - Had District
Meeting. After we went and got some burgers and fries and ate as a district
outside. That was a pretty busy day. I had lot of stuff to get done in the
office. We had interviews with President, mine went good. I asked him if I
could re-design our mission logo and he said yes. We talked about a few ideas.
He is really happy that we have some good things going on in our area and that
we aren't just stuck in the office. He bugs us about that a lot. He also
confirmed that I will be here for a while, and that the new Mission President
will be relying on me for a lot of things. That's going to be interesting; I’ve
never had a new Mission President before. We did more Zone Leader Council
Preparation and had our coordination/dinner with the Baileys.
Friday - was very
busy. We started early, had to go buy some stuff before Missionary Leadership Council
started at 9am. This was the first time that the new Training Sisters came to
this meeting. Normally it’s just the Zone Leaders. We did our presentation, it
went very good. We also got the Assistants to pull Pres. & Sister
Schaefermeyer out into the hall to distract them so that we could tell the Zone
leaders about the surprise gift for the Schaefermeyer's and other
office couples.
We worked on various
things throughout the day. We had the luncheon out in the parking lot because
somebody was setting up for a wedding in the gym. We had to go pick up a few
cars from the shop with Elder House. After the meeting was over things got
crazy in the office, because everyone needed something. Then we had to hurry
and drive some Zone Leaders to their new apartment to deliver a check in time
to be able to move in. We also ended up driving down to New Castle, DE to pick
up some furniture. We got back late and I went straight to bed because I was
pretty tired.
Today we are going to
Valley Forge National Park. Should be fun, I hardly know anything
about it or what to expect. So I just found out we are opening 9 new apartments
and area's this next transfer! All but two of those are Sisters areas. That’s
crazy it’s probably the most we've ever opened! It also creates a ton of work
for me. I was on the phone for a while yesterday with Electric and Gas
companies to set up accounts for just one apartment, 9 is going to be crazy. It’s
coming fast! Its two weeks away. It will be cool to see Kenzie H.!
Congrats/Good luck Kylee
on Graduating!! That's awesome. I got her announcement in the mail. I showed it
to my District since they were all in the office. Looks good!
Well I think that's
it!
Love ya!
OHH... I forgot to
mention.... we CAN Skype for Mother’s day. So I will see where I can do it at.
I might just buy a cheap webcam and do it here in the office. We will see. We
actually might do a Google+ Hangout because then you can do multiple people
video chat. I will let you know.
Chow,
Elder Jeremy
Jensen.
