Sup! 30
July 2012
So, I'm doing good. Today is the 1st
day of my 2nd transfer here in Milford, PA. Tomorrow I will get my 4th
companion. I'm crossing my fingers that I get someone really cool, I hope Kylee had a good
birthday, I haven't heard about it yet. But from the pictures Dad sent me it
looked like she was pretty excited.
So last week I already told you about
being sick, so I don't need to say a whole lot about that, but it was horrible,
horrible, horrible. Not fun. So that was Monday, Tuesday I felt a ton better. I
still didn't have a lot of energy but I wasn't throwing up all the time and all
that other fun stuff. Tuesday, we went and mowed Trisha's lawn and did some
yard work for Bruce, Then we worked on Trisha's website, which by the way if
you want to see it: www.tcullenart.com. Its a little
rough right now and its not anything fancy. Then that night we went over and
saw the House family. We went over there a lot this last week, because Elder
McCrae is going home and they are pretty close. That was also pioneer day I
think, so Happy Pioneer Day! Wednesday, We went with Brother House to teach his
Mom. She isn't a member, and he was scared that she might not let us come over
if he asked her. So we just showed up with him... haha. But it actually went
well, and we have another appointment with her. Then we went over to Brother
Hinkel's house to do some service for him. We trimmed some trees for him. Then
that night we went over to Sis. Meintus' house for dinner, she had a non-member
there for dinner so we got to answer lots of questions of what we do as missionaries
etc. for her. Thursday- we had District Meeting, weekly planning etc. Then that
night we went over to Bruce's House, and Trisha cooked her homemade lasagna for
dinner. There was a crazy storm that night. The sky got super dark fast, and it
started to rain soooo hard. We had to get out of our car to run into someone's
house, and we had to book it from our car to their house or else we would of
been soaked. Friday- we went over to Andy's house. He is a member who was
baptized in the last year or something like that, but he got into some anti
stuff for a while and stopped coming. But we've been meeting with him a little
bit. While I’ve been here, he has
completely changed his opinion and has decided that the church is true etc. So
now he's really into it. So were going over to start teaching him the lessons. We taught him the first lesson and it went
very well. I guess when he was baptized he wasn't taught by missionaries, so
some of the stuff were teaching he hasn't heard before. That night we went over
to the Hess's house for dinner. Then we saw the House family that night.
Saturday- we didn't do whole lot. We were a little low on miles, so we decided
to stay home for a little so that my companion could pack. Then we went and
helped someone move a couch. Then went over to the House's for dinner. Sunday-
Elder McCrae's last full day in this area, he spoke in Church. Later we went
and visited the Siguine's, and then we spent the night with the House's and had
dinner with them.
So that was the week. Wow, so it’s
August already! Jared you know what that means.... SCHOOL!! hehe. Also my 9
MONTH Mark is on Thursday. Crazy stuff! I’m Glad I went on a mission. I’ve
learned soooooo much stuff and met a ton of cool people. I just started reading
Jesus the Christ, which is going to take forever cause it's huge.
Yeah so that’s about it I think.
I’m about to take this area over
tomorrow... ahhhhhhhhhh. I’m going to be nervous and stressed! :) I don't know
it super well. When I go to church I
still kind of feel like I don't know anyone. But it will be fine... I think
;)
I'll let you know who my new companion
is etc. when I find out.
Also I’ll get to see Elder Cannon
tomorrow at Transfers. We tried to work something out so that we could be
companions for a day, because both of our companions are going home. So we both
have temporary companions until tomorrow, but they assigned us to different
people. I think I’ll see him Thursday too because we have Zone Training.
Have a great week!! Hey take some good
pictures of the Mountains for me, like calendar pic worthy. I miss the
mountains and I need some pictures to show people out here, because they think
these tiny "hills" are mountains haha.
