2nd Area June 25th 2012

Hey!!                                                                   25 June 2012
How's its going? Well I've lasted a week in this new area. I'm in Milford, PA. It's just a little different over here compared to New Jersey. There are EVEN more trees here and corn growing everywhere!! It's similar to my last area, but I would say more spread out and more "country" like. Last few days haven't been too bad, I'm still tying to get used to the area and people. Here on the east there are "townships" instead of cities. It's super confusing, and makes getting to know the area even harder. Our area is pretty big too! Just slightly bigger then my last area. It was pretty hard leaving Medford and my last companion. Especially the first few days, I didn't know anyone here. There is a family here, the House family, they are pretty good friends with the missionaries here. They have 5 kids that are all mostly under 10. We're hanging out with them today for P Day. So is Strawberry days over? If so how was it?? Did you eat some strawberries and cream for me?
Oh not sure if I ever told you this but in Jersey you can’t pump your own gas, in fact it's illegal. So it's weird to come to PA and see people pump their own gas. Oh and there are soo many fireflies over here!!! It's soo cool! And there are so many old barns and houses here!! I ate dinner in a 200+ year old house on Sunday.
So Elder McCrae and me decided to make a new finder binder for this area. It's going to be just like the one I made in my last area. Because we don't really have a whole lot to do here, besides knock. So we're going to try to work with the less active members instead. If a lot of the less actives came to church it would be a ward and not a branch here. I went to church for the first time here yesterday. The building is pretty small. It was a little different going to a branch. But everyone was really nice, it seems like a good branch. It was funny in Elders Quorum and High Priests there was a disagreement about a part of the lesson. It was pretty funny to watch them go into "deep" stuff and kind of argue about it. Hahaha.
Elder McCrae and me are getting along really good. I told you this but he goes home July 31.
Oh! I saw Elder George on Wednesday!! (MTC companion) he's not in my district but he meets at the same church I do for district meeting. He's training this transfer!!! That's crazy! I talked to Elder Cannon on Facebook, he's in my zone!!! I really hope we can be companions or something in the future!! That would be sweet!
So that's about it! Hope I gave you guys enough info. Have a great week!

  2. Hey, Elder Jensen:

This is Elder Cannon's Mom - I enjoy reading your blog. I enjoy hearing about the families you teach, and the experiences you have. I also very much enjoy being friends with your Mom! We email and send a few letters (and pictures) back and forth!

I am chuckling right now because the comment ahead of mine, is from Chelsie - Elder Cannon's girlfriend - and she is the best Missionary Cheerleader EVER!

Your pictures are stunning - I hear it is beautiful in Pennsylvania.

    Take care!

    Prayers,

    Corenna Cannon
