Hey Everyone!
Well we had another good week! We watched General Conference over the weekend which was awesome!
We saw Kevin and his family a lot this last week. After someone is baptized we have to re-teach them and go through all the lessons to make sure they understand everything. So we started that with him, and we also started to teach the rest of his family at the same time! Kevin has an awesome conversion story, we basically met him and baptized him and 3 weeks! He quit smoking a drinking coffee without any questions and so on and so on. So we keep telling him he has to write his story down. So when we went over earlier in the week we recorded his conversion story! So i will be sending that home soon for you guys to listen too! We had a member invite us over for dinner this week and he cooked us Salmon and Steak. The pieces were huge and thick! yummm it was suuuper good, probably best meals out here so far. Kevin's family has also had us over for dinner a few times. We were able to teach his family the restoration and give them Book of Mormons. And his wife has been reading it everyday. And on Saturday she quit coffee!! Which was a big step for her. Saturday was the last day of the month so we were basically out of miles on our car, so we couldn't drive to the church to watch conf. And we don't have any members that live very close to our apartment so we watched the first session at the library by our apartment. And then we were able to get to the church for the second session. Our ward had a dinner at the church right before the priesthood session so we went to that. Then on Sunday we went to Kevin's house to watch Conference with him and his family. It was awesome! And some of the talks were perfect for him and his family. We loved General Conference, there were some awesome talks given! oh and we totally saw David Archuleta during the Saturday conference! that was pretty cool. Now that General Conference is over we don't have to wear our suit coats anymore, So were now in our white shirts and stand out a lot more.
