This has been a good week! Can you believe its March 2012 already?? On Monday we helped a family move. They are really big into emergency preparedness so they had a Huge room completely filled with food storage! It took up like half of the moving truck! They are moving to St. George - Lucky! On Wednesday we had our High Councilman take us out to eat at a Diner in our area. Which was pretty cool, he went out of his way to come eat with us. We have become really good friends with a Family in our ward - there are 2 sisters and one brother. They are in their 20's and they are living together, we are working with them to get them more active. They are really cool and we visit them a lot. We have a point system going with them. We have them set goals each week and then we hold them accountable to those goals. And give them points if they accomplish them, so it’s kind of a competition between the three of them. We got all 3 of them to come to church this last Sunday, which is awesome! I went on Exchange with my District Leader = Elder Hunt on Thursday and Friday. It went pretty well! So I may have mentioned this a while ago. But on New Year’s Eve we had a guy back into our car while we were eating in Subway. There was little damage done to our car, but our headlight was cracked and the bumper was popped out of place. But were getting it fixed this week. And so we will have no car from Monday to Thursday. So we called up our Service Elders last night to see if they could drop off some bikes for us. When we got home from our appointment last night there were two bikes sitting in our apartment... sweet! So we've got bikes for the week! We’re going to have to rely on members a lot though because most of the people were teaching live pretty far away, and would take us basically all day to ride our bikes too. Also our family of 5... dropped us. The father talked to a pastor or someone from another church and they told him that our church is too complicated etc. So we probably won’t be seeing them anymore or for a while... sad. We’re going to try to get over there one more time to at least address his concerns and answer any questions.
Ok Good news! So yesterday we got one of our investigators to come to church!! Yay! And this guy and his daughter showed up to our church and we didn’t know them so we went over to meet them. Turns out he had just got home from Puerto Rico the other day and while he was there he had come in contact with Missionaries. And they gave him a Book of Mormon and taught him a little. They even gave him their name tags and told him to get in contact with missionaries wearing name tags like theirs. So as soon as he got back to NJ he found the nearest church and showed up! (yesterday) He's really excited about our church and about the Book of Mormon. It was totally a miracle! He's GOLDEN! And he just showed up to church with his daughter, we got his info and were going to be meeting with him this week! It was suuuper awesome.
Almost done with our finder binder project, should be finishing it this week! I will send home pictures of it once it's done. Looks like it snowed a lot in Utah. The weather is pretty nice here, a little chilly but sunny. It rained a lot a couple days ago.
Thanks everyone for the letters! I have a lot of people to write back today!
Have a great Week!
