Hey Waz sup?? Nov.

How was everyone's turkey day?? Mine was actually pretty good! I will tell you about it later in the letter. Ok so starting with Monday- the other missionaries came over to our apartment to chill. It was a little boring because we were all writing letters to people. We taught Debbie that night. She hadn't had time to read the Book of Mormon, so we read a chapter with her. The rest of our other appointments canceled for the night so we had stop by's. Tuesday- we went on exchange. I was in my area with Elder Taylor (our district leader) I was just a little nervous about it, because this area is still new to me, and I have a hard time getting around with all the confusing bus routes. But the exchange went well. We went to go see a guy named Wayne, who we had met like a week ago. He had told us that he wanted to quit drinking. But by the time the day came for the appointment came around we had forgot who this guy was that we were supposed to see at 6. But Wayne was home and he let us in. He was drunk... Haha, which reminded me of who he was. So we talked to him a little, but since he was drunk we knew he probably wouldn't remember anything we said. So we told him about the addiction recovery class that was the next day, and we told him we would be here to bring him to it. We ended the exchange the next day (Wednesday) at district meeting. Normally it's on Thursdays but because turkey day was Thursday we had district meeting on Wed. We had the usual weekly planning session. Then that night we went over to Wayne's house and walked with him to the church for the addiction class. I had never been to one of those before. It was good and interesting. They had a senior couple teaching it. The other missionaries were also there with one of their investigators. Thursday- Thanksgiving!!! Brother Walker, our Elder’s Quorum president, picked us up at 8:30 to bring us to the Elder’s Quorum turkey bowl. So that was fun. I obviously stink at football, so I was just there for the running and getting the persons flag part. After that we came home and changed, and had a little free time. Then we went over to "Mom's" house for Thanksgiving dinner. She had a lot of family there and the other missionaries from our ward came also. We had really good food and had a good time. Later we played games with the family. I played dominoes for a while. Then we headed over to Ruby's house. She's a member. She gave us some food and we talked for a little, and that was pretty much our day. Glad you guys had a good time in Price. That's cool that mostly everyone was there. I will get to join you guys next time ;) Friday- we taught Wayne in the morning, we taught him the restoration. I was able to set him with a baptism date before we even taught anything!! Cool huh! Later we went over to Ruby's house for Family Home Evening. We shared a Christmas message, and showed her the Mormon.org/christmas website. Saturday we went to New Jersey again to work on the Hurricane clean up. We were over in Seaside Heights (same place they film Jersey Shore) we were super close to the Jersey Shore house. The damage was pretty bad over there! It wasn’t as wet as the place we went to last week, but the water damage was bad. We did some of the same stuff as last week. There were huge piles of trash on the sides of the streets. They had turned a baseball field into a dump. So there were big piles of mattresses and furniture, installation etc. It was just a mess over there. There was sand everywhere from when the water came onto land. Everyone had to be off the island by 3 pm. So we left and it took about 2 hours to get home. We drove through Medford, NJ both ways!!! So that was cool. We were pretty tired. We came home, showered and changed etc. And since we had planned to be in Jersey all day we didn’t have plans. So we just stopped by all the people we wanted at church and reminded them. Sunday- We had meetings in the morning. None of our investigators showed up for church!! Even after we had visited all of them the day before. We had a lesson with Marletta. We've been trying to teach her since I got in the area. She was finally home for this appointment, and we taught her the Restoration. Some of her kids also wanted to sit in, and they all wanted their own restoration pamphlets. But by the end of the lesson we were able to set Marletta and one of her daughters with a baptism date! Yay! After that we taught a recent convert girl who is 11. We taught her about Missionary work and service.
Well the computer is
about to kick me off. Hope you guys have a great week! We find out transfer
news on Friday or Saturday.
Love everyone!!
