MTC 11-7-11 (7 pm)

Wow! well i'm now on week 2 here at the MTC!  So much has happened these last few days.  I don't even know where to start.  We have been learning and teaching the 1st lesson (The Restoration) so much I know it pretty good now.  We also learned how to  invite someone to prepare to be baptized and commit to a date.  We are supposed to invite them to be baptized on the first lesson, or by the 2nd, We also learned how to not take "no" for an answer because they usually just say no cause they are scared.  As you know I was very sick last thursday, I had to go to BYU urgent care & get all these tests taken etc... Anyway i'm fine now, but they kept having me come back for blood tests, even after I was better.  I guess my blood sugar was really high and so the MTC Dr. thought I could possibly have diabetes...I knew I didn't , I figured I would probably know by now, anyways this morning they had me come at 7:30am before I ate to prick my finger to see what my blood sugar was.  I think it was 88 which I guess is good.  So... I don't have diabetes...haha.  We have also been teaching investigators (our teachers) we have 3 teachers and they act like a non-member friend they have & we have to teach them.  Almost everyday, sometimes it goes good other times it goes really bad.  We have one "investigator" Karen, she is so hard to teach.  She is willing to listen to us, but she just doesn't seem very interested and right now were stuck cause we don't know what to teach her next, that will get her more interested.  As District Leader I have some extra responsibilities, on Sunday I had to teach a lesson on Obedience (on really short notice) but it was pretty easy.  I also have to talk with all the Sr. companions and make sure everything is good with them and their companion.  So far everyone is getting together really well! We have a good district, we have 10 elders in our district, my Branch Presidency is really cool, The President is Pres. Hemmert.  Dad, i'm in the Joseph Standing bldg. so not the same one as you but probably close.  Just so everyone knows, Kassie Hymas gets the the "Awesome Award" she is the only friend that has wrote me last week.  Everyone else, Get writing!!:) Use DearElder.com it's free to send to the MTC, my address is on elderjeremyjensen.blogspot.com  I'm having a good time here so far, I wasn't really homesick (I don't miss you guys ;) but it just isn't really a problem for me.  The MTC is pretty High Tech!  They have flatscreens in every room and these super nice HD cameras mounted in the chapels and the gym where we have speakers etc...  They have a live feed on huge screens and projectors so that everyone can see.  The food is good, not super good, but not gross.  I think the only thing I don't like is the time schedule.  We have soooo much to do I hardly have time to read my scriptures, study or anything else at night.  Oh yeah dad, since i am district leader I do get the mail for everyone :), It probably would be good to use dearelder.com since its faster and free, I can only see my email once a week.  The package was awesome! The cheetos were a good idea!, Oh yesterday (sunday) was fast sunday, we had mission conf. with everyone in the gym, it was pretty good,  we also had a fireside that night! Then watched the Joseph Smith movie.  I love that movie it so good.   Mom, I saw Cade Terris, Hunter Cannon, Danny Harding, Carson Wilde and Jeff Elsey, I think thats everyone.  Write me! Love, Elder Jensen
